NPI Day 12

Posted: March 12th, 2009 under writing.
Tags: Cirellio, Cyronil, Marrow, Mourn, NPI, Shanung

WC: 567.

Today I wrote a rewarding, touching scene—a conversation between Mourn, Cirellio, Eth, Marrow, Tasa, Cyronil, and Shanung. It was all about what they speculate happens when we die.

Despite having seven people in conversation at once, it flowed nicely. Kind of like a campfire scene, but without the fire. :)

And, the best part? Every one of these characters had radically different opinions on the matter. It really made the characters come to life, moreso than ever before.  Especially Tasa.

  1. Damn, you made my imagination go wild. Seven people at once – that’s an achievement! Al of them with different opinions on the subject… Yeah, I trust your word that it’s a rewarding and touching scene. Sounds beautiful.

  3. I agree with packsister! I am amazed that THAT could even be pulled off. A scene with seven people and seven different opinion and views on the same subject? And have it flow together well – impressive! I am looking forward to reading this scene. :)

I like how you described it as a camp fire scene, btw. :P

  4. Nice job on the WC and progression of stories, both of you.

  5. LOL, Trina, will you smack him? xD

Keep in mind I’m not tagging much of my dialogue… so christopher, you wouldn’t know who was saying what anyway :)

Thanks, all! Yesterday’s writing inspired me so much, I’m going to try to get more serious writing in today. Falling below 500 words per day will mean I’ll come out with less than 15k this month.
I want at least 15k to put me at roughly 35-40k towards the expected 80k TWC.
