Going Internet Dark

Things have been emotional for G and I over the last three days.

Sept 10th, 2009 was odd; it started out like any other typical day, but ended up being one that has significantly changed our lives.

What it boils down to is G and I are living in the hospital right now. I’m staying by her side as much as possible while still taking care of our house and dog. Things are going to be crazy over the next three months, so keeping us in your prayers and thoughts are extremely appreciated.

Thanks so much,
Nick Enlowe

Dialect (and you)

The Tower of Babel (Etemananki) has made life that much more difficult for us story lovers. We miss out on a lot of great books that never get translated overseas. We have to get our own works translated to see the broader world market. And they said, "Come, let us build us a city and a tower whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth."]

Every Three Months?

When I created the Novel-Push Initiative, I imagined it as being an annual event, held each March.

But there were requests to run it again, so we did it again in May.

And, this month, and we’re doing it again, this time with Merrilee Faber hosting.

It appears that the popularity of the idea for NPI  is demanding a higher frequency.

I had a discussion with Merrilee and she thought it might be a good idea to run this event every three months. That would make the next one be in December, then we’d circle back to March, then June, then back to September.

Sound good? I think it’s worth a shot.

Another NPI

Merrilee Faber’s running another Novel-Push Initiative this month (Yes, she asked my permission first).

I decided to join—It’s always fun, and I’m kind of curious to see what it’s like to participate without having to worry about everyone else’s tallies. Read the rest of this entry »
